ARTIST BACKGROUND
Brandon McVittie is a graduate of Art History from Montreal's McGill University where he studied traditional studio methods, materials and approaches in painting. His professional art career began over twenty years ago and has been multifaceted.
He has worked as an historical illustrator for the Canadian Geographic Magazine and has been a court room and features illustrator for national newspapers, magazines and television; including: the Ottawa Citizen, the Toronto Star, the Vancouver Sun and both the CTV and CBC television networks.
He was co-owner and curator of ARTGUISE Fine Art Gallery in Ottawa from 1996 to 2010 where he helped launch to international attention artists from Canada and abroad presenting and promoting annual solo exhibitions for over a decade.
